Questions For My Kid Self in War Times speaks to the way in which new iterations of conflict ping right back to the conflicts we've lived through, those that we witnessed through kid eyes.

The 25 questions you'll find in this pack come from conversation with my inner kid about war. I was in 4th grade when 9/11 happened and then the start of the Iraq war. The clear eyed discovery of imperialist agenda, the dishonesty in explanations of devastation, the manipulation of victim voices, the quick memetic assumptions of threat on streets around this country – the discoveries of what humans are capable of – specifically adult humans – is devastating again. Every time.

You'll also get our latest CONSIDERING sticker pack, Considering Who Taught Me – a pack I made after having tea with my grandpa one day. He asked me the question "who do you admire for the way they've lived their life?" And it got me to thinking about what I hold as valuable – worthy of holding onto, repeating, sharing with others, or practicing. And so much of that is driven by what I was taught, which has so much to do with who and what taught me.

My grandfather's question led me to consider that what I admire in the way others lived their lives are the things I try to carry forward, whether that's knowledge, a ritual taught by a passed-away elder, what I was taught about myself, or a specific way of making cookies.

In these times, these sticker packs seem like good companions.

As always, our stickers are created without judgement, influence, or agenda in mind. Each question or prompt invites you to get specific and curious with what it is you've got – and maybe you invite someone else into the conversation.

Use these stickers in your journal, as a conversation starter with beloveds, on the wall of a bathroom for some community engagement, or anywhere else you see fit. There's no right way.
