When I say... practice stickers

When I say, communicating effectively is hard, what I mean is that working at communicating can be really painful and challenging. But it can also get easier, as do many things, with a bit of practice & attention.

These stickers were first inspired by difference I encounter with loved ones and strangers alike – difference in opinion, in politics, in word choices, in lexicon, in values... difference where, in the face of it, I still wanted to relate. I still wanted to be understood. 

I found – & continue to find – that when I take a moment to really consider what I mean or what I'm trying to communicate, I can do a much more effective job at getting where I want: a regardful relationship in the face of difference.
