The 25 questions you'll find in this pack come from conversation with my inner kid about war. I was in 4th grade when 9/11 happened and then the start of the Iraq war. The clear eyed discovery of imperialist agenda, the dishonesty in explanations of devastation, the manipulation of victim voices, the quick memetic assumptions of threat on streets around this country – the discoveries of what humans are capable of – specifically adult humans – is devastating again. Every time.
So I sit with my kid self and my kid self sits with me (this adult iteration). We ask questions. We invite you to do the same – get into conversation with your kid self without judgement, influence, or agenda. Each question is carefully crafted to invite your most of-this-moment self (whatever your age) to come forward and hang with your kid self just as you both are right now in these war times.
Use these stickers in your journal, slap one on your car dash for in-transit reflection, or tear them up and make a game out of it with your friends. There's no right way.
